WEEK 6

ON SITE VISIT

We get to set the date of on site visit to the company/factory on 17th September 2021. We were able to complete the first task given on the last week, which are:

1. The chosen industry is small scale industries which is food processing.
2. The food processing small scale industries is a bitter gourd chips processing that are based in Gombak, CSP RIZQ RESOURCES.
3. Equipment that used are vegetable cutter machine and oil dryer machine.
4. The maintenance of the vegetable cutter machine only the belt will be changed once per year. However, it will also based on the frequency of the machine used.

During the visits, the owner explained the process of bitter gourd chips start from the cleaning to packaging. The 3 main process involve with equipment and machine are cutting, frying and drying.

In this assignments, the concept of Industry Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) is the Predictive Maintenance. Therefore, after a few of considerations and discussions with group members, we decided to only focus on vegetable cutter machine as its problems meets the criteria needed, which is Predictive Maintenance.
